Market at the Meridian
From May through October you'll find a fantastic farmers market at 2nd and Douglas. Shop for locally grown foods and handcrafted products while enjoying beautiful background music and great conversation!

Yankton Ribfest

This summertime amateur rib contest brings mouthwatering bbq, a full day of free live music, kid's inflatables, and so much more to the Meridian District!
Music at the Meridian
This free summer concert series is held on Thursday nights during July and August in the green space west of the Meridian Bridge. Local beer and food vendors serve up some of the best and everyone is welcome to paint a community mural tile.

Crazy Days

Every summer the retailers in the District come together to bring you crazy deals and steals all at one time! This two-day event is the perfect time to hop from shop to shop finding your next favorite outfit, gift, art, or treasure.

Rock 'N' Rumble

This motorcycle rally is the perfect time to show off your hot ride! Cast your vote in the various contests, enjoy live music, and get a taste of our local food trucks. If you're headed to the Sturgis Bike Rally on the west side of our state, this is a great way to gear up for it!
Riverboat Days & Summer Arts Festival

For 39 years Yankton has celebrated its riverboat roots with a huge three-day festival in Riverside Park. It always happens the third full weekend of August, so mark your calendars!

3rd on 3rd Block Party

3rd Street becomes a giant block party on the day/evening before Independence Day. Take your drinks from the bar outside and enjoy local food trucks and great live music.
Harvest Halloween Festival

Downtown Yankton comes alive with creepy, silly, and adorable characters during the Harvest Halloween Festival. Although attractions vary from year to year, you can always plan to Trick-or-Treat at our welcoming Meridian District businesses!

Holiday Festival of Lights

It may be cold on the Thursday after Thanksgiving, but this annual event will warm your heart. The Parade of Lights features floats that are lit up better than the Griswold's house. Head down to the Meridian Bridge after the parade for the lighting of the huge community Christmas tree!
